Pete Davidson has achieved quite a bit in his career, both in his personal life and as a former heavily tattooed celebrity in Hollywood. Despite having over 200 tattoos in the past, Davidson has recently made headlines for significantly reducing his collection after deciding to remove most of them earlier this year.
A recent photo shared by his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, showcases Davidson’s nearly tattoo-free arms. It seems he achieved this look by undergoing extensive laser removal procedures costing around $200,000.
The image, shared on social media, captures the former “Saturday Night Live” star tenderly holding their newborn daughter, Scottie, who is wrapped in a blanket. Elsie captioned the photo with a heartfelt message: “MY BEST FRIENDS.”

The couple began their relationship in March and celebrated the arrival of their first child on December 12, sharing their joy on Instagram. Elsie, a model at 29, also revealed their daughter’s full name: Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson. This name pays homage to Davidson’s father, Scott, who tragically lost his life during the September 11 attacks.
In her post, Elsie expressed overwhelming feelings of love and gratitude, while Davidson lightheartedly commented, ‘wu tang forever.’
The photo further highlights Davidson’s significant tattoo removal journey. In January, he expressed his intent to retain only two or three tattoos. While on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Davidson detailed the process: “I’ve been burning them off. They burn off a layer of your skin, then it has to heal for six to eight weeks.” The removal process requires about 12 sessions and avoiding sun exposure.
“It’s pretty terrible, so if anybody out there is watching and thinking about getting a tattoo, make sure you really want to get it,” Davidson advised, showing his forearm’s faded tattoos. He added, “It’s pretty gone.”
Explaining his decision, Davidson mentioned, “I got sober, and I saw myself in the mirror, and I was like, ‘Nah. Who that?’ I was like, ‘I got to change it up a little bit’.”
In July, Davidson checked into a wellness center for treatment related to PTSD and borderline personality disorder.

Among the few tattoos Davidson decided to keep is a tribute to Hillary Clinton on his right leg, which he got in 2016 after she lost the presidential election. Clinton reached out to confirm he wasn’t planning to remove this particular tattoo. “What was cute is when I got them removed, she hit me up, and she’s like, ‘You’re not removing me, are you?’” Davidson recounted on “The Breakfast Club.” He assured her, “Of course not, of course. Hillary stays’. She loves it.”
