Player’s Kind Response After Woman’s Controversial Act Towards Boy and Father on Live TV

A baseball player made a touching gesture following a fan’s contentious action during a recent game.

During a Friday matchup between the Marlins and the Phillies at LoanDepot Park, Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader hit an impressive home run, with the ball making its way into the stands.

Baseball spectators know that catching a ball that lands in the stands means you get to take it home as a keepsake.

As the ball flew into the stands, several fans tried to grab it, with one older fan nearly succeeding before dropping it.

The ball landed on the ground but was soon picked up by a father who then handed it to his thrilled son.

However, undeterred, the older fan approached the family and insisted on having the ball. The surprised father eventually took it from his son’s glove and surrendered it to her.

This surprising incident was captured on camera, and it was soon revealed that it was the boy Lincoln’s birthday.

Though Lincoln didn’t get to keep the ball hit by Bader, the Phillies had a special surprise for him after the game.

Photos shared by the team on their social media showed the player meeting Lincoln and gifting him a signed bat.

“Going home with a signed bat from Bader,” stated their Twitter post.

Not just the Phillies, but others also stepped in to brighten Lincoln’s day.

A Marlins representative was seen in another video approaching the disappointed boy in the stands.

She gifted him a goodie bag filled with various items, including a ball for both him and his sister.

A social media video captured the rep saying, “We brought you a cool little goodie bag.”

Fans praised both teams on social media for their efforts to rectify the situation.

One fan commented, “Gonna make a Phillies (baseball) fan outta me.”

Another wrote, “It is good the baseball team worked out something to try to make the situation right.”

The fan involved has faced criticism for her actions.

Someone humorously asked, “is she a CEO?”, alluding to the CEO of a company who was caught on a kiss-cam at a Coldplay concert sharing a moment with a colleague.
