Podcast host Taylor Strecker has recently dubbed Eric Stonestreet, famed for his role as Cameron Tucker on “Modern Family,” as the least enjoyable guest she’s ever had on her shows. Stonestreet, 52, is beloved for his portrayal of the larger-than-life, warm-hearted character, yet Strecker describes him as ‘nasty’ off-camera.
During a guest appearance on Paige DeSorbo’s Amazon Live broadcast of “Summer House” on June 25, Strecker was candid about her experiences with various guests. When DeSorbo inquired, “Who is the worst guest you have ever had on your podcast?” Strecker didn’t hesitate to answer once DeSorbo assured her she could ask anything.
Strecker’s response was straightforward: “Eric Stonestreet.” This prompted a puzzled reaction from DeSorbo, who asked, “Who the heck is that?” Strecker explained, “He’s from Modern Family, okay, and he’s like, the like chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one.”
DeSorbo, recognizing the actor, was shocked and responded, “You’re kidding.”

As the conversation unfolded, Strecker shared more about the disappointing encounter with Stonestreet, who she initially thought was promoting “Modern Family.” It turned out, however, that his appearance was supposedly to push Pepto-Bismol, a detail that caught her off guard during their chat.
Strecker recalled, “We’re talking, I’m just being my adorable self. And he’s like, ‘So when are we going to talk about Pepto-Bismol’.” When she brought up her own humorous ailments to lighten the mood, Stonestreet nonchalantly remarked, “Somebody didn’t do their homework.”
This comment did not sit well with Strecker, leading to a sharp exchange where she retorted, “I’m sorry, am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? The answer is no, so that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”
The altercation left DeSorbo feeling dismayed, to which Strecker humorously asked if she had “just ruined your life?” with her revelations about Stonestreet.
Despite the spicy details, no clips of this particular interaction between Stonestreet and Strecker seem to be available online, and neither party has commented on the matter as of yet.
