Angela Oakley is still insisting she was vindicated after Shamea Morton dragged the cheating rumor back into the open.
On Sunday, July 26, in Atlanta, The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17, episode 16, “Halloween Hot Pocket,” put Shamea Morton, 44, in party-host mode. Porsha Williams, 45, answered by text, while Angela Oakley, 44, got dragged back into the George-and-Ashley mess.
Shamea tried to reset the fight with a Halloween party for her still-to-be-launched rum line.
“Girl I’m not coming to your damn party. You are sick asf. Please move along enjoy,” Porsha texted Shamea.
Meanwhile, Angela met with K. Michelle and argued that Shamea had made the whole mess herself.
Angela wrote, “Okay hang on TRUTH is coming for all involved,” and, “Wife included. Because WTF! … Also I didn’t know what was said to my daughter until I saw it on the show! My reaction stands. Please don’t speak to my daughter.”
Shamea later told Andy Cohen the dinner should never have happened.
“The timing wasn’t good. I definitely shouldn’t have brought it up at the dinner,” she said. “It just came out. I was so fed up. It was festering for so long.”
Porsha also went online on July 13 and fired off fresh allegations of her own.
“Now let’s discuss YOU—sleeping with your manager (who’s married to one of your high school friends),” Porsha wrote. “As well as a pastor in Decatur who’s 100% on your roster… along with many more,” she added.
At the party, Shamea invited George and Ashley into the mix, and the cheating rumor got one more public test.
“You are saying that I asked for tea on Shamea, but I asked, ‘Do you know Shamea?’” Angela claimed.
Shamea later said the feud was still living on social media.
“The drama is still happening on social,” Shamea said. “I agreed to move on from it at reunion and that’s what I’m planning on doing.”
She described the split less like a TV spat and more like a breakup.
“It’s almost like when you’re in a relationship. When you break up with someone it’s not overnight,” she explained. “This is a childhood friendship that was not for TV. It was my real life. Showcasing it on TV and it ending up playing out like it did… it was a lot to digest.”
In the viral moment, Shamea confronted Porsha in Scotland after the moms took over the fight.
“What I see in those eyes is the same s–t I’ve seen in anybody’s eyes who wish hate upon me…. Now, until that spirit get up off of her, I ain’t f–kin’ with it,” Porsha told the cast.
“It’s f–kin’ over,” she said in confessional.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 finale airs next Sunday at 8/7c on Bravo and streams the following day on Peacock.
