Jason David Frank, who played the green/white Power Rangers in the popular 1990s television series, has died. He was 49.
“Unfortunately, it is true,” a representative for Frank said. “Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being.”
“He loved his family, friends and fans very much,” the rep added. “He will be truly missed.”
Sources close to the family have said that the death resulted from suicide. Frank leaves behind four children: boys Hunter and Jacob and daughters Skye and Jenna.
His demise comes 21 years after that of co-star Thuy Trang, who died in a traffic accident in 2001. She was 27 years old.
