Natalie Portman, 45, shared a rare bump photo on Instagram on July 29, captioning it “Counting the days until we meet you.”
The actress posed in front of a window overlooking Paris with an open button-down shirt cradling her baby bump, as photographed by Shelby Duncan.

The intimate portrait comes as
Portman prepares to welcome her third baby at age 45
with
her partner, Tanguy Destable, a French music producer.
Portman announced her pregnancy on April 17.

“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
The actress, who grew up in a family shaped by her father’s work, opened up about the deeper meaning of her late-in-life pregnancy.
“I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” she explained. “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing.”

“There’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day,” she continued. “And knowing it’s probably the last time [being pregnant], I cherish every moment.”

Portman has been physically feeling great throughout her pregnancy.
“I have more energy than I thought I might,” she admitted, adding that she has been enjoying swimming and doing gyrotonics while spending time with her two children.
She’s also brought her practical approach to motherhood to this third pregnancy.
“You figure it out,” she said. “We’re going to make lots of mistakes, no matter how hard we try. And also, we’re going to do a lot right without having to do research.”
When she posted the pregnancy portrait, celebrity friends quickly flooded the comments with support, with Macaulay Culkin writing “Gee whiz,” while Jenner Garner and Julianne Moore dropped heart emojis.

The news of their relationship came one year after Portman finalized her divorce from her ex-husband, director-choreographer Benjamin Millepied, with whom she shares son Aleph, 13, and daughter Amalia, 8.
Destable — also known by his stage name Tepr — is an electronic music producer and performer.
The couple’s relationship marks a fresh chapter for Portman after a turbulent period.

Portman, 42, filed for divorce in July in France and it was finalized in February, ending their 11 years of marriage.
Their separation came in the wake of accusations against Millepied suggesting he was involved in an extramarital affair, with a French magazine reportedly finding evidence that the Bordeaux-born choreographer cheated with a woman identified as French climate activist Camille Étienne.

In the viral moment that shaped this pregnancy announcement,
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied officially divorced after 11 years of marriage, with Portman quietly filing for divorce in July in France, where the couple resided with their two children.
An insider told People that “He knows he made an enormous mistake, and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together.”
Millepied’s efforts were evidently in vain.
“Natalie is coming out of a really tough and painful year but she’s come out the other side of it stronger and is finding joy in her family, friends and work,” a source told People, noting that the May December star’s main priority is creating “a smooth transition for her children” following their divorce.
Portman and Destable have been an item since March 2025 — a year after her divorce from Benjamin Millepied was finalized.
The new pregnancy represents Portman’s first child with Destable and her third overall.
