Prime Video enthusiasts ‘can’t get enough of’ 96% rated series as major spin-off update unfolds

Prime Video subscribers are captivated by a high-octane action drama they consider a ‘must-watch.’

Finding a binge-worthy TV series that isn’t at risk of cancellation can be a challenge.

However, this Prime Video original has successfully delivered 24 episodes over three seasons, with another season and a spin-off series already in development.

Launched in 2022, the show has gained even more traction over time.

Anticipating the spin-off’s release by the end of 2025, audiences are revisiting the series, which they claim is ‘better the second time around.’

Alan Ritchson from Smallville stars in the lead role, portraying a former US army police major who has left the service to live as a nomad.

With only his clothing and keen senses, he roams America, aiming for a quiet, solitary existence.

Yet, trouble inevitably finds him.

Each season places him in a different setting, where he becomes entangled in conspiracies, violent crimes, and corruption.

He is assisted by former colleague Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), detective Oscar Finlay (Malcolm Goodwin), and police sergeant Roscoe Conklin (Willa Fitzgerald).

The series in question is Reacher, named after Ritchson’s character Jack Reacher, and adapted from the Lee Child novel series.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has achieved a remarkable 96 percent critics score across all three seasons.

James Delingpole of The Spectator remarked that the series is ‘great fun,’ stating: “[It’s] one of those series you look forward to and could happily binge-watch, even though you know it’s not going to add much to your quotient of brain cells.”

Viewers have been positive in their reviews, despite giving the show a slightly lower score of 81 percent overall.

“Great action, drama, crime TV show… got me hooked on every single episode,” one fan noted.

“I’ve read every book and I can’t think of how this first season could have been done any better,” another added. “Excellent. More please.”

“Wow you get hooked in the first 10 mins. I couldn’t stop watching it – a must see,” a third social media user commented.

Excitingly, a fourth season of Reacher is in progress, with filming set to begin this summer. The release is anticipated for 2026.

The Reacher universe is poised to expand beyond its 2010s Tom Cruise films.

A spin-off series featuring Neagley is also in the pipeline, with Sten returning to her role as Reacher’s trusted ally.

Amazon announced the spin-off in October 2024, which will follow Neagley as she seeks justice for a friend who died under mysterious circumstances.

Utilizing her expertise from Jack Reacher and the 110th Special Investigators, she uncovers a perilous conspiracy.

During a conversation with Business Insider, author Child hinted that the show might premiere at the end of 2025.

In March, he mentioned: “They start shooting very soon, as a matter of fact! And I think I’ve seen the screenplays, I think it’s going to be excellent, just as good as Reacher, really. So you know, with a bit of luck, the Reacher-verse will dominate the year on Amazon Prime both ends of it.”

All three seasons of Reacher are available now on Prime Video, with season four and the Neagley spin-off eagerly anticipated.
