Prince William faced a question about his uncle Andrew during an interview, and his answer was unexpectedly tactful.
The Prince of Wales recently visited Brazil, a trip that combined his roles in royal diplomacy and environmental advocacy.
While in South America, William attended COP30, following the example of his father, King Charles, who has previously delivered several important speeches at the conference.
William briefly touched on the influence of his father and the environmental values he instilled in him.
He stated, according to BBC News: “I grew up with my father – the King – talking about the power of nature and the importance of harmony in the natural world. A subject he has championed for over five decades.”
He continued: “It is a privilege to also represent him here today, as well as everyone else who has championed this cause, for so many years.”

During his visit to Brazil, which primarily focused on climate change, it was expected that he might be questioned about his uncle Andrew.
Recently, King Charles took the decision to remove all titles from his brother, including his Princedom, due to his associations with Jeffrey Epstein.
The Royal Family issued a statement saying: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.
“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”
Amidst these significant changes in the Royal Family, William was questioned by CNN’s Christiane Amanpour regarding the matter.

Amanpour asked: “Given the fact there’s been a lot of change in your own family recently, you yourself have talked about this change. Just talk about that a little bit. Where do you see the change? What do you think needs to happen?”
In response, William said: “I think the Earthshot Prize is a classic example of change. Rather than talk about it, we’re doing it. That’s where I want it to be.”
He added, “These people in here are the true action heroes of all time, and change will come by backing them, not by what I do.”
This year, nearly 2,500 nominees from 72 countries were considered for the various Earthshot prizes.
From these, 15 finalists were chosen, with five ultimately being named as winners.
