Princess Charlotte broke down in tears at the funeral of her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
On Monday, the 7-year-old daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton was seen leaving Westminster Abbey.
Charlotte was noticeably distraught as she dried her eyes outside the church in London, England while wearing a beautiful horseshoe brooch given to her by the queen. Charlotte’s dramatic outburst remains unclear, although she looked to be in better spirits immediately after.
Charlotte attended the service with her parents and elder brother, Prince George. Charlotte and George traveled in a vehicle with Kate and Camilla, the Queen Consort, behind the procession of the queen’s coffin from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch.
The royal siblings departed the automobile and stood with their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, at Wellington Arch as the coffin was transferred to the hearse for the journey to Windsor, England.
Charlotte also had a great experience with her outfit. The princess donned a hat to a large ceremony for the first time on Monday, wearing a topper that complemented her all-black ensemble. Charlotte wore an all-black hat with a bow.
