Public Reaction to Cookie Company’s Controversial Ad Video

In an effort to capture attention, a cookie company has stirred up some controversy with their latest video advertisement.

We’ve all encountered memorable adverts that compel us to purchase things we don’t necessarily need; however, sometimes the intended message isn’t always clear.

Occasionally, a company will employ unorthodox strategies to capture attention, evoke laughter, or simply make a lasting impression, but these approaches don’t always yield the desired results.

A certain cookie company may be reconsidering its marketing tactics following the mixed reactions to their recent advertisement, if social media feedback is any indication.

The ad, posted on the TikTok account for the business Crumb & Co. by Lana, utilizes a bait and switch approach to engage viewers.

Operating out of Egypt, the business sells cookies via social media platforms and has achieved viral status with the video, amassing over 13 million views.

The video begins in a manner similar to simulation stories about improbable survival scenarios, such as individuals enduring near-fatal incidents.

This particular narrative highlights an overweight woman surviving a gunshot because her body fat prevented the bullet from reaching vital organs.

The narrator then adds, “To save your life, order my cookies, so your stomach can get bigger and bigger, preventing death caused by the bullet.”

Unsurprisingly, this garnered significant attention, with some viewers finding it rather unconventional.

One TikTok user remarked: “Can we have an urgent meeting with the marketing team because what the heck.”

Another commented: “Never have I ever seen advertisements like this before.”

A third noted: “Bro is preparing people for stray bullets. You can’t make this up.”

Someone else stated: “I have a lot to say but don’t know how to say it…”

On the other hand, some viewers found the ad amusing and commended its humorous attempt to promote the product.

One fan commented: “Best Advert I’ve seen on the internet soo far.”

Another added: “Okay this is the most funniest advertisement I’ve seen.”

An impressed viewer wrote: “If this is not a successful marketing, I don’t know what is.”

Though the advertisement may be unconventional, it appears to have been effective with some social media users, potentially boosting sales in the process.
