Warning: This article discusses discrimination against the transgender community, which some readers may find distressing.
The president of the United States shared his thoughts on how a female weightlifter competes compared to a transgender athlete.
It’s almost unbelievable that I’m writing this – you have to see this awkward clip! At this point, it seems like there’s nothing President Donald Trump could do to lose the support of his most ardent followers.
The brief, yet uncomfortable, 10-second imitation was difficult to watch. Yet, the loyal supporters of the nation’s 79-year-old leader rallied behind him.
“This is the funniest president we’ve ever had,” one person commented on X.
Another person wrote: “There is no president nearly as hilarious as Trump. Delivery and timing all excellent. Imagine he put some real work into a bit.”
“I gotta say this, his comedic timing is pretty spot-on,” added a third commenter.
From the glowing reviews, you’d think the Republican had just launched a Netflix stand-up special. Instead, he did this:
The clip sparked dozens, if not hundreds, of online comments, with many questioning whether what they saw was real or AI-generated.
Once viewers realized Trump had indeed performed this act during a speech at the House Grand Old Party member retreat on January 6, some were not impressed.
“A man in poorly blended orange makeup making fun of trans people is peak irony,” one user commented on X.
Another added: “You support this clown. It’s embarrassing, that’s why you have to ask if it’s real.”
Someone else posted: “He’s embarrassing and Melania agrees.”

It appears the first lady isn’t fond of her husband’s dancing, as Trump admitted that Melania described it as ‘unpresidential’.
He shared how Melania ‘hates’ his dancing and mentioned Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) in the conversation.
Trump told the audience: “She actually said, ‘could you imagine FDR dancing?’ – she said that to me. And I said, there’s a long history that perhaps she doesn’t know because he was an elegant fellow… even as a Democrat, right?
“He was the attack by Japan, you know, he was quite elegant, but he wouldn’t be doing this. But nor would too many others.”
