It’s clear that overlooking the details can lead to some uncomfortable and embarrassing situations.
Let’s be honest, how often do we really pay attention to instructions or signs? And if something says ‘not for girls’? That just makes it more tempting.
There have been occasions where my Ikea furniture has collapsed, leaving me with just a heap of screws and wooden panels. Now, women are sharing their experiences of learning the hard way after disregarding a warning sign on a steep ride advising them against using it.
In a video shared on TikTok, Australian high diver Rhiannan Iffland is seen taking on a slide at Austria’s Area 47 adventure park, ignoring a sign that suggests women should avoid it.
Despite the warning, Iffland went ahead and took the ride, mentioning: “Went for it anyway. Just once but I did it!”
Iffland emerged unscathed, which might make one think the warning was simply sexist.
However, other women have since spoken up, clarifying that it’s not necessarily the case.
Numerous women quickly commented to share why riding these slides might not be advisable for women, largely due to what is referred to as the ‘waterslide enema’.
An enema involves introducing liquid into the rectum to alleviate constipation, and it’s clear what these women were hinting at with this term.
One person on social media commented: “Unfortunately I got a water slide enema. Peed out half the swimming pool in the toilet from my butt. I literally couldn’t stand upright after it happened. Weirdest thing I’ve ever experienced.”
Men on the slide could potentially face this issue too, but women noted that females have ‘too many holes’ to manage the possible rush of water.
One woman shared: “I have gone to one of those. […] Not an enema but the other one. Deep cleaning that baby box. Never again.”
Another commented: “Goes into places it really shouldn’t then gushes out when you stand up not fun.”
“I went on a slide like this, water straight up both holes,” said another.
Iffland didn’t disclose what happened to her after the slide, but there must be a reason she only did it ‘just once’.
It’s safe to say, this is one ‘not for girls’ sign that I might actually follow.
