QVC Star Breaks Down in Tears Live and Says ‘You’ve Made Me Cry’

Sandra Bennett dissolved into tears on live television as colleagues ambushed her with a surprise 20th anniversary celebration on QVC.

Alberti Popaj, 47, and Meghan Murray crept onto the set over the weekend while Bennett, 56, was mid-broadcast, completely unaware that her two closest co-hosts had conspired behind her back. The moment was captured in footage that quickly circulated among QVC’s devoted viewership.

Popaj walked straight to Bennett and embraced her. “I love you, and I would never miss your 20th anniversary,” he gushed.

Bennett’s composure immediately crumbled. “Oh, shoot, you’re gonna make me cry,” she replied, visibly struggling to hold back emotion.

Popaj pressed on with a tribute that only deepened the waterworks. “This is the threesome that hangs out at Meghan’s pool. We have had so many dinners together. We have shared so many laughs over the years. Oh, darn it, Alberti, you’ve made me cry.”

Popaj quipped “Good!” before adding, “They’re happy tears!” Murray stood nearby laughing, thrilled by her co-star’s reaction.

“You are not only gorgeous on the outside, and everybody can see that in the whole entire country and on the planet, but you are even more beautiful inside, and you are a true friend,” Popaj went on.

As Bennett wiped her eyes, she fired back at her friends, “I love you,” and joked, “I love him a little less because he made me cry.”

Bennett later took to Instagram, calling the on-camera celebration “One of my fav moments from last night.” She elaborated in the caption, “We talk nonstop, but something about seeing [Popaj] walk on set brought me to tears.” She thanked Murray for “arranging” the moment, noting that “The three of us have been through soooo much together off camera,” She continued, “Great times, painful situations, the works! I was so surprised that for the first time in 20 yrs, I didn’t even realize that a product had SOLD OUT!”

Murray confirmed the scheme in the comments. “We wanted TEARS! 😭 😂👏,” she wrote. “So proud of you and what you have achieved. You’re a special friend to me and it was a privilege to be a part of your anniversary show. ❤️❤️ ❤️❤️.”

The emotional broadcast capped two decades for Bennett, who co-hosts “Friday Night Beauty” alongside Popaj. Her milestone arrived just over a month after fellow longtime host Rick Domeier, 32 years on the network, announced his year-end retirement on air. “We both agreed that now’s the perfect time for me to kind of cruise down retirement road while most of this engine is still functioning,” Domeier said of his wife, Amy Domeier. “That’s going to give me the next few months to thank the incredible people I work with backstage, the producers, the directors, the on-air talent and thank the most important person at QVC, which is the QVC customer, for having been with me and accepted me for what will be 32 years,” he added.

The network has seen its share of unscripted viral moments lately. Last month, host Toni Brattin suffered onscreen embarrassment while displaying her “Salon Select Wig” from the back, accidentally saying “blowjob” instead of “blowout” during a segment.

Bennett’s anniversary surprise stands apart as a rare instance of genuine warmth breaking through the polished retail format, with three colleagues whose off-camera bond spilled openly into the live broadcast.
