Rapper Juvenile leaves flight in frustration after being re-seated from first class to coach

Rapper Juvenile found himself in a heated confrontation with airplane staff this week, culminating in him storming off a flight.

The incident took place on an American Airlines flight that boarded on Wednesday, bound from New Orleans to Dallas.

Juvenile, whose real name is Terius Gray, had settled into his first-class seat with his wife, Shadonna Jones, by his side.

However, the situation took a turn when crew members attempted to move the rapper to coach, igniting tensions.

“Y’all hear this?” Juvenile exclaimed during an Instagram Live session on the plane.

“Man, they trying to kick me off the plane. They trying to take me off of first class,” he continued.

Interestingly, American Airlines staff did not ask Juvenile’s wife to change her seat. “I’m his wife, so how can you downgrade him and I could still stay?” she was heard saying in the background.

As the situation escalated, Juvenile asserted, “You ain’t going to put me in no coach. This ain’t never happened to me in my life.”

He then warned the crew members of the consequences of their decision, stating, “I’m a celebrity. There’s going to be repercussions for this because I’ma get off the plane. I’m not going to let y’all disrespect me like that.”

“I’m not going to let y’all choose me out of all the people on the plane and disrespect me, so I’m going to get off the plane. You ain’t going to disrespect me,” he added.

Choosing not to move to coach, Juvenile and his wife decided to disembark, but not without making their dissatisfaction known.

“Out of all the people on the plane, y’all done picked a celebrity,” the 49-year-old said as he exited.

Even after leaving the plane, Juvenile remained furious with American Airlines.

“F*** American Airlines. All the money I spent with you b***he’s,” he stated in another Instagram clip.

“They gon’ try to put me in coach, motherf****r? I ain’t never flew coach. I feel played.”

In response, American Airlines clarified that the rapper was not specifically targeted, but selected by an automated process.

The flight had been downgraded from an Airbus A320 to an Airbus A319, resulting in fewer First Class seats than initially planned.

An American Airlines spokesperson said: “American Airlines strives to provide a positive experience to every traveler and we apologize for Mr. Gray’s recent experience with us.

“An unplanned change in aircraft type affected his seat assignment, and we regret he wasn’t notified prior to boarding. A member of our team has spoken with Mr. Gray personally to resolve the situation.”
