Vicky Pattison, the well-known reality TV personality, has been facing criticism online due to how she expresses affection towards her pet.
While animals, especially dogs, are beloved by many, not everyone demonstrates their affection in the same manner…
The British celebrity has displayed her fondness for her dog in a way that has unsettled some of her followers.
On August 22, she joined forces with Butternut Box, a pet food company, to release a co-branded Instagram post. In the post, she introduced their new YouTube series called Walkies, although this wasn’t the aspect that left viewers uneasy.
Pattison appeared alongside her dogs, Max and Milo, and a woman named Aisha.
The moment that drew viewers’ attention was when one of the dogs began licking the inside of Pattison’s mouth, and she responded by opening her mouth wider, much to the dismay of her audience.
Aisha admitted to engaging in the same behavior after initially calling Pattison ‘gammy’ for it.
Pattison then remarked: “I’m so sorry. Like, you know, it makes them happy,” and allowed the dog to continue licking her mouth.
Social media users were not as accepting or sympathetic, with many expressing their shock and disapproval upon learning that this was a regular occurrence for the pair.
Despite having a large fan base, Pattison found few defenders, even among fellow dog lovers.
Her Instagram post received numerous comments, with many making their displeasure about the behavior clear.
One commenter stated: “Omg Vicki no!!! I loved my dog more than life itself, I wouldn’t mind her liking my nose/face or hands etc. I’d also kiss her above her nose & her head, but there’s no way I would ever let her kiss me by licking my lips & definitely not by licking inside my mouth.”
Another person commented: “I love my dogs more than anything but after seeing them licking their bits I couldn’t.”
A third added: “This is so disgusting. Then you kiss your partner and kids after that, spreading bacteria.”
Another expressed: “I think u r great and love your stories but for god sake why would u do this, dogs carry so many parasites from eating all sorts while out on walks let alone licking their own backsides, just wrong.”
Another simply pointed out: “That is actually so disgusting and unhygienic. It’s so wrong on so many levels.”
Pattison’s husband, Ercan Ramdan, also chimed in the comments section, noting: “The dogs get better kisses than me.”
It’s a moment many will want to forget…
