After a brief video from a party in Spain spread across the internet, the French woman at the center of it has now spoken publicly about the viral moment.
Online, she has become widely known as ‘Red Bikini Girl’ after footage showed her dancing in a crowd at a Summer Rockz foam party in Lloret de Mar before someone sprayed water on her from behind.
The 13-second clip, filmed unintentionally, has now been watched more than 100 million times on social platforms, accumulating the views in just 24 hours.
The woman in the video, 20-year-old Océane, known online as Aora DJ, said she never expected the clip to take off around the world or turn her into one of the internet’s most recognizable faces.
Océane said she sees herself as someone who loves to enjoy life and embrace the moment. She also explained that she has wanted to work in a creative field since childhood, with hopes of becoming a DJ.
“Music is my biggest passion, and I have so many projects and ambitions that I hope to bring to life,” she said.
Reflecting on the night the video was taken, she said she had simply been out having fun with friends when the now-famous moment happened.
“I was simply enjoying a Summer Rockz party in Lloret de Mar with my friends, and I never expected such a spontaneous moment to go viral internationally,” she said.
She also said the scale of the attention still feels surreal.
“I still can’t quite process the fact that millions of people have watched this video.
“To me, I’m just a normal girl. Maybe what people connected with is that I was simply being myself: Natural, spontaneous and genuine.”
The video has attracted thousands of reactions online. One person called her ‘Planet Earth’s new crush’, while another commented: ‘I can’t stop replaying this, the timing is too perfect!”
When asked about her relationship status in a follow-up video, Océane declined to discuss her personal life, saying simply “I won’t say more.” Among the millions of comments, she has acknowledged that not all attention has been positive, particularly from some male commenters, though she said she now laughs about the negative remarks.
Despite the negative comments, Océane has expressed pride in how the video has inspired other women to feel confident in themselves. “I’m proud of it and it lets me show other women that no matter what they look like, it’s important to be proud,” she said. She has also expressed particular gratitude for the support from women, noting the encouragement from girls in Lloret de Mar and women worldwide.
Following the clip’s rapid rise, Océane said she has already taken steps to shape what comes next by signing with a management agency.
“I’ve recently signed with a management agency to help me build this journey, in the best possible way, and I’m excited to see where this incredible opportunity can take me,” she said.
