Fans had their first glimpse of the forthcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again last night with a highly intense trailer.
This series serves as a reboot of Netflix’s highly cherished R-rated Daredevil series.
During Disney’s D23 expo, new and returning characters were hinted at, alongside an unexpected team-up and a hopeful update about the show’s future.
The trailer, which showcased the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, hasn’t been officially released yet. However, we were present and can provide the details of what the trailer entails.
Prepare yourselves, as listing all the returning cast members from Netflix’s Daredevil will take a bit of time.
Most of the main cast from the end of season three are making a return, including Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Foggy.
Additionally, Wilson Bethel returns as Bullseye, the villainous sniper from season three of the Netflix series, shown being escorted by police in manacles.
The major return, highly anticipated by fans but not guaranteed, is Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher.
Bernthal captivated audiences in season two of Daredevil to such an extent that Netflix produced two highly popular series centered around his character.
We see a more rugged Castle in the trailer, sporting a full beard and longer hair, as he confronts Daredevil with a hammer before recognizing him.
The series faces the challenge of balancing screen time for returning characters while introducing new and exciting elements from the comics.
One of the most noticeable new characters in the trailer is ‘White Tiger,’ a Marvel street-level character that had long been rumored to appear in the Netflix series.

It’s unclear who will portray her in the show, but the character is clearly shown in the trailer.
Also joining the cast is Muse, who will serve as a villain in Daredevil: Born Again.
In the comics, Muse is a deranged artist who creates graffiti using the bodies of his victims.
The trailer suggests that Kingpin and Matt Murdock may have to put aside their significant differences to combat a greater threat, potentially Muse.
The most significant reveal of the panel might not have been the return of Charlie Cox or The Punisher, nor anything within the trailer itself.
Disney confirmed during the panel that the trailer is for season one, effectively announcing that a second season is already in the works.
This was further supported by Marvel head Kevin Feige, who stated that season two will begin filming soon.
Daredevil: Born Again season one is set to release on March 1, 2025.
