Rihanna fans urge her to reconsider newborn daughter’s ‘cruel’ name immediately

Rihanna’s fans have suggested a name change for her newborn daughter.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who have been a couple since 2020, have two sons, RZA, aged three, and Riot, aged two.

Recently, the famous duo shared the news of their third child, a baby girl, joining their family.

On Wednesday, September 24, Rihanna posted a photo with her newborn, revealing she was born on September 13.

The singer disclosed her daughter’s unique name, which many online believe is a tribute to significant people in her life.

The baby is named Rocki Irish Mayers, with ‘Rocki’ seemingly acknowledging her father, A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers.

The ‘Irish’ in her name appears to honor Rihanna’s father’s heritage, which includes African, Irish, English, and Scottish roots.

Some fans on social media celebrated the unique choice, with one saying, “She finally got her baby girl!” while others applauded Rihanna for her decision.

However, opinions online are split, with some criticizing the name and even calling it ‘cruel’.

On Reddit, a user stated, “I’m sorry, I hate all her baby names,” while another agreed, saying, “I also hate them, but I’m not sorry. They’re just bad.”

Regardless of differing opinions, it’s evident that Rihanna and A$AP are thrilled to add a baby girl to their family after having two sons.

In a recent interview with Elle, A$AP expressed his hopes, “I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl.”

He explained that during their first pregnancy, they wanted to know the baby’s sex, but chose surprise for the second and third pregnancies.

“Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know. I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two.

“You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”

Discussing his partnership with Rihanna, A$AP stated: “We don’t talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day.

“When you come home, it’s about family. It’s about your relationship. It’s about your household. It ain’t about all that other s***.”
