Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Chelsea: Unraveling Her Troubled History and Recent Prison Sentence

Rosie O’Donnell recently asked her followers to keep her daughter, 28-year-old Chelsea, in their thoughts as she faces legal challenges.

The talk show personality reached out to her audience for support after Chelsea was found to have violated the terms of her probation from a January sentence. As a result, Chelsea is now required to serve time in prison.

A judge in Wisconsin officially revoked Chelsea’s probation on October 22, following her inability to fulfill the conditions of the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Program. This failure resulted in her removal from the program, as outlined in court documents.

Previously, Chelsea had been arrested several times last year and had pled guilty to charges including resisting or obstructing an officer, felony bail jumping, and possession of methamphetamine. She was originally sentenced to six years of probation.

Rosie O’Donnell, 63, took to Instagram to publicly address the situation, sharing a childhood photo of Chelsea along with an emotional message: “My child chelsea belle – before addiction took over her life – i loved her then i love her now as she faces a scary future – prayers welcomed – #addiction awareness #love #family.”

Rosie also provided a statement to People, saying: “I have compassion for those struggling with addiction – Chelsea was born into addiction and it has been a painful journey for her and her four young children. We continue to love and support her through these horrible times. Prayers welcomed.”

Chelsea, who was adopted by O’Donnell in 1997, is one of five siblings and has four children of her own. Her personal life has seen its share of ups and downs.

While her current relationship status is unknown, she was previously involved with Jacob Bourassa, the father of three of her children. They began their relationship in 2018 as she was going through a divorce with her former husband, Nick Alligero, and welcomed daughters Skylar Rose, Riley, and Avery Lynn.

Their relationship ended publicly, and in 2019, Bourassa was awarded custody of their children.

Chelsea later had a son with another partner, Jacob Nelund, with whom she was living during her latest legal issue, which stemmed from a domestic dispute at their Wisconsin residence. Authorities reportedly discovered drugs and syringes during this incident.

Subsequently, Bourassa sought to amend the custody arrangement to restrict Chelsea from unsupervised visits with their children.

Court documents reveal that her probation was revoked due to insufficient progress in treatment and new allegations, leading her probation team to recommend its termination.

Reports indicate that since early September, Chelsea has been in custody and has now been relocated to a medium-security correctional facility in Wisconsin. The duration of her sentence remains undisclosed.
