The individual accused of trying to assassinate President Donald Trump while he was golfing has been found guilty.
Ryan Routh, 59, was taken into custody after security personnel noticed a rifle protruding from bushes at Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course in Florida on September 15 of last year.
This alarming event occurred just weeks after another attempt on Trump’s life, where he narrowly escaped with a grazed ear from a bullet during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Despite maintaining his innocence on all five charges and opting to defend himself in court, Routh was found guilty on all counts following a trial in Florida, as reported by NBC News.
Routh now faces the potential of a life sentence.
Further updates will be provided as they become available.
