Sacha Baron Cohen posts unusual note to former spouse Isla Fisher after separation

Sacha Baron Cohen recently expressed a touching sentiment about his former wife, Isla Fisher, in an Instagram post, nearly three years after their unexpected separation.

Fisher and Baron Cohen first crossed paths at a party in Sydney in 2001, long before they became globally recognized for their roles in Borat and Wedding Crashers respectively.

The couple had been together for over twenty years, with approximately a decade of marriage, and are parents to three children.

In 2024, the Now You See Me actress announced on Instagram that she and Baron Cohen had officially decided to part ways.

She shared an image of the two in tennis attire, captioning it: “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.”

Though Fisher has called the divorce ‘the most difficult thing’ she’s ‘been through’, it seems they maintain a positive relationship, as evidenced by Baron Cohen’s birthday wishes to Fisher on her 50th birthday.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Baron Cohen shared a picture of Fisher and commented: “Happy birthday to the funniest, most joyful person, a brilliant talent, and a fantastic mum.

“May the next decade be even better.”

More updates to come.
