School board meeting erupts into chaos over teacher’s remarks on Charlie Kirk

A recent school board meeting erupted into chaos following a contentious debate over a teacher’s alleged comments about activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, tragically passed away at the age of 31 on September 10, after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University.

During the Regional School Unit 67 meeting, a conservative personality challenged the board members regarding a teacher’s remarks made the previous week.

Tim Bodnar, known as the ‘Truth-slinger’, accused the district of promoting ‘communist propaganda’ and criticized the teacher’s comments, which have not been disclosed publicly.

Video from the meeting shows Bodnar vociferously criticizing the teacher, prompting Board Chair Dianne Buck to call for order.

“You can bang that all you want, lady,” Bodnar exclaimed.

After a break, Bodnar further demanded: “I demand counseling for the kids who were hurt by Charlie Kirk’s death that [the teacher] dissed.

“He can have free speech, he just can’t have a job on taxpayer money!”

Bodnar then accused Buck of disregarding him, leading board member Andrew Funaro to step in.

“You’re a foul, evil woman! You’re a coward!” Bodnar shouted.

“Don’t you insult that woman!” Funaro interjected, prompting Bodnar to retort: “Why not?”

“Because she’s doing the best she can, and you don’t know what we think,” Funaro responded.

“We haven’t made a decision yet.”

Bodnar countered: “You should have made a decision when you found out!”

“We found out on Friday,” Funaro replied. “We’re doing the best we can.”

“It’s too slow. The world is moving on way too fast for you, old man!” Bodnar retorted.

Another recess ensued, but tensions flared when the board reconvened.

Police asked one man to leave, and Bodnar began recording the proceedings.

“You know I’m right, sir,” he told Funaro, who replied: “I do not know you’re right! You should go back down south and get some more clicks on your little YouTube. Isn’t that what this is about?”

Though the livestream briefly cut out, it resumed to show Funaro slapping Bodnar’s phone away, and police intervening.

The meeting was subsequently adjourned.

“PROUDEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE RIGHT THERE,” Bodnar later wrote in a post.

“The Holy Spirit of GOD indwelt me… I dropped my arms and let God fight my battle. Funaro withered in the presence of a REAL MAN.”

In a statement to The New York Post, Funaro said, “I am a Conservative and a great admirer of Charlie Kirk.

“I cannot speak for the Board but in my opinion any teacher who celebrates political violence in the classroom should be fired.

“It poisons the well for people who are actually doing the work to get indoctrination out of our schools like Charlie Kirk wanted.

“Though I disagree with my fellow Board members on many things, when it comes to a public menace invading our High School library, I will defend. I have total faith that the Board will do the right thing.”

According to a Lincoln Police chief, the matter is under investigation.

An inquiry for comment has been made to the Lincoln Police Department.
