Documents from a CIA-managed government program suggest the existence of an ‘alien civilization’ on the Moon.
During the 1970s, when clairvoyance gained popularity, government agencies began incorporating ‘New Age’ spiritualism into their projects by hiring psychically gifted individuals from the public.
One of these individuals was Ingo Swann, who participated in ‘remote viewing’—a method where people claim to observe distant places through mental imagery.
Swann, a Colorado native born in 1933, took an oath of secrecy as he conducted his remote viewing for the CIA, reporting his psychic observations.
During one of his sessions, Swann claimed to have viewed the far side of the Moon, known as the ‘dark side of the Moon’, which perpetually faces away from Earth.
In his 1998 book, Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy, Swann made striking claims about witnessing an extraterrestrial society on the Moon.
Swann, who passed away in 2013, recounted his employment by the CIA for psychic tasks, under the condition that he keep the program’s details—known as Project Stargate—secret for ‘at least 10 years’.
He described receiving a call in February 1975 from Washington DC, requesting his assistance on a confidential project.
After meeting a government agent identified only as ‘Mr Axelrod’, he was blindfolded and taken via helicopter to an undisclosed underground location.
Swann said Axelrod instructed him, “We want you to go to the Moon for us, and describe what you see.”
In detailing his vision from the Moon’s dark side, some 238,000 miles from Earth, Swann wrote: “I found towers, machinery, lights of different colors, strange-looking buildings.”
“I found bridges whose function I couldn’t figure out. There were a lot of domes of various sizes,” he noted.
Swann also described unclothed, male aliens amid the Moon’s infrastructure.
As the aliens mined the Moon’s craters, two of them purportedly detected Swann’s presence.
“Two of them pointed in my direction,” he wrote. “How could they do that… unless… they have some kind of high psychic perceptions, too?”
Swann recounted presenting his findings to ‘Mr Axelrod’, questioning if the US had contacted the alien beings he had seen.
He quoted himself asking Axelrod: “They somehow have told you to stay away. That’s why you are resorting to psychic perceptions. They are not friendly, are they?”
Swann claimed Axelrod responded: “[Swann was] approximately correct… but not completely so.”
