The strained relationship between Sex and the City co-stars Chris Noth and Sarah Jessica Parker seems beyond repair.
It’s been five years since Noth and Parker last appeared together as Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw in the revival series And Just Like That…. Recently, Noth shared insights into the tensions with Parker, which became publicly evident again following the 83rd Golden Globe Awards.
After Parker received the honorary Carol Burnett Award, known for honoring ‘outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen’ and previously awarded to Ted Danson and Ryan Murphy, Noth posted a gym photo on Instagram. He captioned it: “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”
The situation escalated when a follower commented: “You mean f***k SJP & her award right? Lol,” to which Noth replied: “Right.”

Though Noth later downplayed his response as an ‘off the cuff slightly sarcastic response’, the exchange seems to have reignited tensions.
According to People, in a preview of his appearance on Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, Noth, 71, stated about Parker: “We’re not friends, I think that’s pretty obvious.”
Noth, also known for his roles in The Good Wife and Law & Order, suggested that Parker’s response to sexual assault allegations against him in 2021 has strained their relationship.
Two women accused Noth of rape in incidents reported to The Hollywood Reporter, one in 2004 and another in 2015.
A third woman alleged via The Daily Beast that Noth sexually assaulted her in 2010 when she was 18.
Noth has denied the allegations, stating they ‘read like a piece of bad fiction’ and maintained he ‘would never cross that line’.
In response, Parker and Sex and the City co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon released a joint statement, which Noth has now addressed.

The statement read: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
Noth expressed his feelings about the statement: “The statement that they put out — which was nothing more than brand management, really — I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising.
“Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You’ve known me for many years, and we’ve worked [together] for many years.
“I get it, that’s more Hollywood than Hollywood. But before you make that statement, you know me, you’ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didn’t happen, and that was too bad.”
Noth remarked that the situation has revealed who his true friends are. “Just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldn’t have done that. That was hurtful, and it really affected everything,” he observed.
