The actor Chris Noth, known for his role as Mr. Big in Sex and the City, has provided further details about his relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker following a renewed discussion of their conflict on social media.
During his appearance on the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast on February 5, Noth was asked if he was still in contact with Parker. He responded, “We’re not friends, I think that’s pretty obvious.”
Noth was part of the Sex and the City series for six years, and he reprised his role in the 2008 film and its sequel in 2010. In 2021, he returned to his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s husband in And Just Like That…, only to have his character killed off in the first episode.
In the same year, allegations of sexual assault surfaced against Noth from two women, which he has denied. This situation is believed to have contributed to the rift between him and Parker.
Following the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, where Parker received the Carol Burnett Award for her contributions to television, Noth shared a photo on Instagram, taken at the gym.

He captioned it: “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”
One of his followers then commented, “You mean f***k SJP & her award right? Lol.” to which Noth replied, “Right.”
In his conversation with Mayer, Noth reflected on how the 2021 allegations led to the end of his friendship with Parker. The accusations stemmed from encounters in 2004 in Los Angeles and 2015 in New York City.
Noth issued a denial, stating: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago—no always means no—that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.”
Despite his denial, Parker and her co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who portray Miranda and Charlotte, respectively, publicly supported the women, releasing a statement that said: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

In the newly released parts of the interview with Robinson, Noth commented on the statement by Parker, Nixon, and Davis: “I think when people heard those three come out that way from that show which so many eyes are on, they said, ‘Well then, it must be true.’ I think they knew that the media would have a bonanza with it.”
“They didn’t need to make that statement. Their show wasn’t going to get hurt. I hurt my family a lot with this and I’m still worried about it and that didn’t help.”
He drew a comparison between Parker’s statement and that of Bridget Moynahan, who played Natasha Naginsky on the show. When asked by Elle for her response to the allegations in 2021, Moynahan replied, “I don’t know anything about…it would be inappropriate for me to comment on things I don’t have any knowledge of.”
Noth expressed his perspective to Robinson, saying: “And that’s why I said, ‘God, the woman who knows me the least, Bridget Moynahan, made the most objective comment.’ Which was fair.”
“I just can’t believe all this has happened.”
He further mentioned that if the situation were reversed, he “wouldn’t have done that” to Parker, and he expressed a wish for a “criminal trial,” asserting it would have been “thrown out” due to insufficient evidence.
