Shannon Elizabeth says she plans to “push boundaries” on OnlyFans as she grows more comfortable with the platform.

The “American Pie” star, 52, said in an interview published Thursday that she is keeping her content “a little bit mysterious” for now while she figures out her limits. “I do all kinds of content, but I don’t even know what my boundaries will be,” she said. “I’m still exploring it and as I become more comfortable with it, I’m going to push those boundaries.”
Elizabeth launched her OnlyFans account on April 16, shortly after filing for divorce from her husband, Simon Borchert. The financial returns were immediate and staggering. “I crossed $1 million in nine days,” she said. “It was really surprising, and I was honored that my fans came out and supported me.”
Her manager, Joseph D. Reitman, put the earnings in perspective during a conversation with her. “He said, ‘You’ve now made more money in the span of a week or two than you did on American Pie, Scary Movie, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Love Actually combined,'” Elizabeth shared with Us Weekly.
The actress admitted she “had no idea what to expect” when she joined the subscription-based platform, but she has found the public response to be “really amazing.” She has been particularly struck by the direct engagement with fans. “I’m chatting with people all the time and it’s been a lot of fun,” she said.
Elizabeth also revealed that her success has inspired other actors to join the platform. She noted that “a bunch of actors” — including 85-year-old “Knots Landing” star Donna Mills and “Battlestar Galactica” alum Tricia Helfer — followed her lead by making an account. “We’re starting to pull it back to what it was meant to be,” she explained to Variety. “It doesn’t have to be only for adult entertainment. It can be whatever you want it to be.”
The decision to join OnlyFans came during a period of significant personal transition. “I was going through a divorce here in South Africa and was chatting to my manager Joe about what’s next and how to restart things in my life,” she said. “I had really neglected a lot of things, and he brought it up as an option,” Elizabeth said she “wasn’t sure” about making an OnlyFans at first, but once she “looked into it,” she went ahead with it.
The “Celebrity Big Brother” alum also said that she’s enjoying the financial perks after living off her savings for roughly the last decade. “To be able to get myself back to the point where I’m not struggling and am able to choose projects because I like them and not because I need the money — it’s definitely giving me more freedom to do that,” she stated.
Elizabeth, who moved to South Africa in 2016, plans to use her earnings to establish her own residence there after staying with friends since the separation. “Everything’s been in storage since, like, September, so I need all my stuff out of storage,” she said. She also intends to continue funding the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, her wildlife conservation charity, and is planning a charity gala in Las Vegas this summer.
In the viral moment that launched this new chapter, Elizabeth’s OnlyFans debut generated over 9 million views in her first month and attracted more than 300,000 subscribers. The actress said she was “overwhelmed” by the response. “It’s such an overwhelming number, and I know that it’ll taper off, and it won’t always be like the beginning,” she said. “But that’s fine because then the real fans that really want to stick with you and go on this journey with you, they settle in and we go on a long ride together.”
She has also found an unexpected mentor in former co-star Denise Richards, who joined OnlyFans in 2022 and reportedly earns $2 million weekly. “She’s been really helpful and talked her through it,” Elizabeth said, adding that Richards “recommended people that she worked with who helped to teach her.” Elizabeth teased that the two might collaborate in the future: “I’m sure sometime in future, maybe we’ll do a collaboration together.”
Elizabeth said that she feels this is “one of the best times of my life right now.” “As I’m embarking on this new chapter in my life, it’s the most empowered I’ve felt in a very long time,” she said. “This is the first time in so long that I’m really excited about what’s going to come and what’s happening every day.”
Elizabeth is scheduled to host the Rhino Rumble charity poker tournament in Las Vegas this summer to benefit her foundation.
