Sharon Osbourne gives unsettling health update on husband Ozzy as she apologizes to fans

Sharon Osbourne has recently shared a health update about her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, as well as issuing an apology to their fans for being unable to attend an anticipated event. The couple was scheduled to be at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix, a convention celebrating horror and science fiction genres. They were expected to participate in a ‘meet and greet’ session which was priced at $666. Unfortunately, following doctors’ advice, Ozzy was advised against traveling.

Subsequently, Sharon and their daughter, Kelly Osbourne, also decided to skip the event. Sharon took to social media platform X to communicate their absence and extend her apologies to those looking forward to their appearance.

“Regretfully, the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time,” Sharon explained in a video message. “However, Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbournes.”

She assured fans who had purchased tickets for the meet and greet that they would be eligible for refunds. “All I can do is apologize that we won’t be there,” she remarked. “I’m apologizing to the people we’ve let down from my heart. So, God bless you all. Thank you so much.”

This update comes shortly after concerns were raised by fans regarding Ozzy’s well-being following Sharon’s vague responses in a recent interview about his health. Ozzy has dealt with significant health challenges over the years. In 2019, he suffered a fall that dislodged metal rods in his spine from a previous quad bike accident in 2003. He has since undergone multiple back surgeries. “The ‘second surgery’ which took place last year went ‘drastically wrong’ and ‘virtually left [him] crippled,’ Osbourne disclosed to Rolling Stone. “It’s really knocked me about. I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third, but with the last one, they put a f****** rod in my spine,” he stated.

The rock star also revealed that during one of his surgeries, doctors discovered and removed a tumor from one of his vertebrae, which further complicated his recovery. “It’s pretty rough, man, and my balance is all f***** up,” he admitted.

Additionally, Ozzy was diagnosed with a ‘mild’ form of Parkinson’s disease in 2003 but only went public with the diagnosis in 2020. He humorously remarked on the public speculation surrounding his health: “Every time I scratch my a**e, they put it down to Parkinson’s! I’m getting p***ed off reading the papers, and they’re saying things like ‘Ozzy is fighting his last battle. He’s sung his last ‘Paranoid’. You know, I don’t even think about Parkinson’s that much.”
