Sharon Osbourne moved to tears by voicemail Donald Trump left regarding late husband Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne became emotional when she heard a tribute from Donald Trump regarding Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy passed away on July 22 from a heart attack at the age of 76, leading to a flood of tributes from his fans. Just weeks before his death, the rock icon had performed for the last time on July 5 at Villa Park, close to where Black Sabbath was first established.

This week, Sharon and her family gathered on The Osbournes podcast on YouTube, where they shared memories of Ozzy.

Among the discussions was a surprising tribute, as it was revealed that former US president Donald Trump had left a voicemail for Sharon after Ozzy’s passing.

In the voicemail, Trump expressed his condolences, and Sharon replayed the message on the podcast with her family.

Trump’s message included: “Hi, Sharon – it’s Donald Trump, and I just wanted to wish you the best and the family. Ozzy was amazing – he was an amazing guy.

“I met him a few times and I wanna tell you he was unique in every way and talented.”

Continuing, Trump said: “So I just wanted to wish you the best and it’s a tough thing, I know how close you were, and whatever I can do – take care of yourself, say hello to the family – thanks, bye.”

This was not Sharon’s first encounter with Donald Trump; she had appeared on his NBC show, The Celebrity Apprentice, in 2010. Sharon mentioned she had formed a positive opinion of Trump during their time working together.

“All I know is a man that I know, I worked with for a month. I spent one month with him and his wife, who was always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to, his wife,” Sharon recalled.

Sharon also mentioned her views on politics, stating that there are no true victors.

“Listen, when it comes to politics, we know nobody comes out a winner,” she explained. “Whoever you like, there’s, half of people are going to be in conflict.

“And now it’s more so than ever in history, is it that people’s choice of which party, which politician – you can’t come out a winner.”

She continued: “Again, for President Trump and Melania, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

With tears in her eyes, Sharon remarked: “For him to take his time to do that for us, because do you know what, he doesn’t live in a bubble, he knows what’s going on in the streets.”

Ozzy’s son Jack commented: “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
