Sharon Osbourne offered her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, a heartfelt ‘gift’ before he passed away.
Ozzy died in July at the age of 76 at his estate in the UK after battling Parkinson’s disease in his later years.
Famed as the lead singer of Black Sabbath, he left an indelible mark on the heavy metal rock scene, particularly during the 1970s.
A few weeks prior to his passing, Ozzy took to the stage in his hometown of Birmingham for the ‘Back to the Beginning’ farewell concert.
According to a trailer for his upcoming documentary, “Ozzy: No Escape from Now,” this final performance was a special present from Sharon.
“What do you think, we do a big farewell show?” Sharon proposes, to which Ozzy responds, “I want to say to my fans, thank you for the years.”
Billy Corgan comments, “This is Sharon’s gift to Ozzy. You deserve this.”

The concert raised an impressive $190 million for charity, with the proceeds going to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Cure Parkinson’s, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Performing to an audience of over 40,000 fans, Ozzy expressed his gratitude: “You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
While the overwhelming response from the crowd might have surprised Ozzy, it did not surprise Sharon. She noted, “Oh my God, the metal fans are the most loyal fans in the world! When they’re a fan, you’ve got them for life. They don’t go anywhere.
“It was a huge success, as it was a phenomenal event. It was the first time, I think, that anybody’s gone into retirement and done it, where the show is streamed and it goes to charity. So it’s the first time anybody has said goodnight like that, it’s the perfect way, when you’ve had such a long career, to end it.”
The documentary sheds light on Ozzy’s battle with mental health issues, with Sharon sharing in the trailer: “At that time, the depression was so bad. [He’d] be like what’s the point in even getting up? I’m not getting up. I’m not working with the physiotherapist. What’s the point?”
Ozzy also reflected on recording the track “Take What You Want” with Post Malone in 2019.
“It got me out of the blues. It helped me. That was the best medicine I ever had at that point,” he revealed.
Ozzy’s death was attributed to a heart attack, with his family announcing that he was surrounded by loved ones at the end.
“Ozzy: No Escape From Now” will premiere on Paramount+ on October 7, 2025.
