Shocking video captures Joe Rogan learning about Charlie Kirk’s assassination while podcasting with Charlie Sheen

Joe Rogan was taken aback during a podcast episode with Charlie Sheen when he learned about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The actor appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, and towards the conclusion of their conversation, news came out that political commentator Kirk had been shot.

The announcement caused a stir in the studio, as Rogan, visibly disturbed, tried to continue with the podcast.

“So this just happened, we just found out that Charlie Kirk got shot,” Rogan informed the audience, clearly in disbelief.

“It’s a f***ed up time. People are so divided in this country,” he stated.

Sheen, equally taken aback by the news, shared his disbelief that someone could be ‘murdered for having a different opinion from somebody else, different ideology from somebody’.

Although Rogan never hosted Kirk on his podcast, he remembered meeting him at a gun range and had a positive impression of him.

“He’s not a violent guy, he’s talking to people on college campuses,” Rogan remarked.

“He wasn’t even particularly rude, [he] tried to be pretty reasonable with people. He’s a very intelligent guy, whether you agree with him or don’t, and there’s a lot of stuff that I didn’t agree with him on.”

Kirk was shot at Utah Valley University on Wednesday (September 10), and the gunman remains unidentified.

Two individuals were detained for questioning but have been released as authorities confirmed they have ‘no current ties’ to the incident.

The FBI shared an image of a possible suspect on Thursday (September 11) and urged the public to contact them if they recognize this person or have information about them.

Shortly afterward, the FBI provided further details about the shooter and their movements following Kirk’s assassination.

The statement read: “The FBI is releasing video of the shooter who murdered Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Following the shooting, the individual jumps from a rooftop and runs away from the location.

“Trace evidence collected from the rooftop includes shoe impressions, a forearm imprint, and a palm print. The shooter’s weapon and ammunition were recovered from a wooded area near the university.”

The footage showed the alleged shooter leaping off a university building and escaping the scene.

A reward of $100,000 is being offered by the FBI for any information leading to the capture of the assassin.
