Shooting at ICE Facility Results in Multiple Injuries and Two Fatalities; JD Vance Responds

In Dallas, Texas, three individuals were shot at a facility belonging to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The alleged shooter, whose identity remains undisclosed, is reported to have died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

NBC News has reported that among the victims, one person has succumbed to their injuries. No ICE agents are among the injured or deceased.

Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, addressed the situation, stating that the motive behind the attack is still unknown.

She tweeted: “There was a shooting this morning at the Dallas @ICEgov Field Office. Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities.

“The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound. While we don’t know motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop.”

Noem further mentioned: “Please pray for the victims and their families.”

JD Vance also commented on the incident, highlighting the need to cease what he calls the ‘obsessive attack on law enforcement’, particularly targeting ICE.

“I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families,” he stated as vice president.
