Sick SoCal Business Owner Accused of Creepy Bathroom Tactic to Spy on Customers

Bryce Neighbors, 39, of Upland, posted bail on Oct. 1 and was released from custody after his arrest by the Ontario Police Department on multiple felony charges.

Neighbors, the owner of Young’s Automotive in Covina, was taken into custody last week following an investigation into possession of child sexual assault material, according to authorities.

At his automotive business, police say Neighbors planted multiple hidden cameras inside the bathroom to record unsuspecting customers. Cops also determined he used a hidden camera attached to his shoe to film up women’s dresses and skirts.

He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on charges including commercial distribution of obscene material depicting minors and possessing or controlling child sex abuse material. The arrest also included counts related to distribution of child sexual abuse material.

Ontario police have expressed concern that additional victims may not yet have been identified. Investigators are actively seeking anyone who may have been victimized at the Covina business or who has relevant information about Neighbors’ activities.

Authorities are urging potential victims or witnesses to contact the Ontario Police Department directly at 909-986-6711 or reach Detective Robson at 909-408-1648.

The case against Neighbors developed when Ontario police launched their investigation into the possession of child sexual assault material, which ultimately led them to the hidden camera operations at his place of business.

The shoe camera tactic allegedly allowed Neighbors to capture upskirt footage of women without their knowledge, while the bathroom cameras targeted customers who used the facilities at Young’s Automotive.

Neighbors’ release on bail has raised concerns in the community about the potential for ongoing danger, though the conditions of his release have not been publicly detailed.

The Ontario Police Department continues to investigate the full scope of Neighbors’ alleged recording activities and the possible extent of distribution of the illicit material he collected.

Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward as detectives work to identify all individuals who may have been filmed without consent at the Covina automotive shop.
