Authorities in Texas are expressing concerns about a teenager who has been missing since Christmas Eve, stating she might be in ‘immediate danger’.
Camila Mendoza Olmos, aged 19, was last seen departing her residence in Caspian Spring, San Antonio, shortly before 7am on December 24.
According to police, she was dressed in baby blue pajama bottoms, a baby blue and black hoodie, and white shoes when she left her home.
Her disappearance occurred just one day after she had arranged to go dress shopping with her friend, Camila Estrella.
Video footage has emerged showing a person, believed by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) to be Olmos, standing near her vehicle in the early hours of Christmas Eve.

Several local media outlets have reported that her belongings remain at home except for her car keys and possibly her driver’s license, though her car is still parked on the driveway.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar has shared updates on the ongoing situation and the search efforts for Olmos.
According to ABC News, Salazar stated: “We definitely don’t want to miss anything. The ground search is somewhat limited to a couple of square miles. We’re also not ruling out that this case may take us outside the borders of the continental United States.”

The sheriff mentioned that multiple agencies, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, have now joined the search and are monitoring border crossings and international travel.
Authorities have confirmed that Olmos has not been detained by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since her disappearance.
Salazar elaborated, “That was a personal concern. So, I had it checked to make sure that there were no stops, no detentions, and that she’s not somewhere in a federal detention facility. That is something we needed to check.”

In a statement following her disappearance, BCSO stated: “Camila’s mother stated that Camila normally goes for a morning walk; however, she became concerned when Camila did not return within a reasonable period of time.
“Video footage from that time shows an unknown individual, believed to be Camila, searching inside her vehicle for an unidentified item. Moments later, the footage ends. It is believed that she left the residence on foot, as her vehicle remained at the location.
“The only items known to be on her person are her car key and possibly her driver’s license.”
Anyone who may have information regarding Olmos’ location is urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210)335-6000 or email the BCSO Missing Persons Unit at [email protected].
