Simulation Unveils Functionality of ‘World’s Deadliest Knife’ in Shark Attack

A simulation video demonstrates the potential use of the ‘world’s deadliest knife’ during a shark attack.

Online, numerous simulation videos capture various scenarios, but one of the most popular creators on YouTube is Zack D. Films. He explores topics you might not have realized you were curious about.

Zack has covered everything from the frightening details of how a tooth can be lethal to the strategies for surviving being buried alive. His recent viral video shows how the ‘world’s deadliest knife’ could be employed during a shark encounter, potentially causing the shark to explode if used correctly.

The simulation describes: “Stab the shark and press the button in the knife’s handle. This triggers a CO2 canister hidden inside, causing it to burst. As it does, it shoots compressed gas through a tube in the blade, before coming out of the tip.”

Continuing, it states: “This freezing gas is injected into the wound and expands violently, destroying the tissue around it.”

Essentially, the resulting shockwave is sufficient to cause the shark to explode internally, potentially allowing you to escape the attack.

The knife, known as the wasp injection CO2 knife, was initially developed for divers as a measure against sharks in open water.

Blade City describes: “This weapon injects a freezing cold ball of compressed gas, approximately the size of a basketball, at 800psi nearly instantly. The effects of this injection will drop many of the world’s largest land predators.”

“The effects of the compressed gas not only cause over-inflation during ascent when used underwater but also freezes all tissues and organs surrounding the point of injection on land or at sea.”

Though there’s no footage of the knife being used on a shark, YouTubers have tested it on ballistic gel, plastic bottles, and even watermelons to demonstrate its mechanics.

The standard knife models are priced at $500, while the larger WASP Bowie model costs $600.

Opinions on using such a weapon for defense are divided. One person commented: “The worst part is about exploding them, sharks are actually pretty harmless if you don’t alert them.”

Another added: “That’s so mean. Sharks aren’t even normally violent unless threatened or something like that.”
