Snoop Dogg is well-known for his love of cannabis, but according to him, there is one person who can outsmoke him.
Remember when Snoop claimed he was quitting the ‘smoke’? It turned out to be merely a marketing tactic from the artist, a move that didn’t shock many of his followers since the names ‘Snoop Dogg’ and ‘weed’ are nearly synonymous.
Due to his passion for marijuana, it seems almost inconceivable to think of someone who could outsmoke Snoop. Yet, he admits there is one.
Snoop revealed this during a 2018 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, where he was asked about his thoughts regarding the world’s weed connoisseurs.
Kimmel commented, “Seth Rogen was here last week, and we were discussing the Mount Rushmore of pot smokers, and naturally, you are on it.
“And I think that Seth is on Mt. Rushmore. Who would you put on that Mt. Rushmore?”
This prompted Snoop to name a few individuals known for their appreciation of the herb.
“I would put Bob Marley. I would put Cheech and Chong – they were the first faces on the mountain, they’re the ones who showed us what a mountain was,” Snoop remarked.
But there is one person who Snoop believes is exceptional.
“Willie P. Nelson is definitely on there,” he mentioned.
“And by the way, Willie Nelson is the only person who has ever outsmoked Snoop Dogg. I had to hit the ‘time out’ button.”
Snoop confessed to Kimmel that he’d ‘never’ had to call for a time out before, making Willie the sole person to out-smoke him.
Willie confirmed the tale in an interview with Daily Beast, stating: “That was over in Amsterdam! I called Snoop and I said, ‘Hey buddy, you gotta come over here. This is where it’s at!’
“So he came over and we hit every bar, every smoke place in Amsterdam. We had a helluva time.”
Though Snoop found his match in Willie, the music icon doesn’t see himself as the top smoker.
Regarding his skills with cannabis, Willie added: “Oh, I don’t know. There’s probably people that can outsmoke me! I don’t do a lot of smoking anymore.
“I’ve switched over to a vaporizer because it’s better on my lungs.”
Imagine the scene if Willie, Snoop, Rogen, Marley, and Cheech and Chong were all in a room together.
It would undoubtedly be quite the experience.
