Warning: This article contains discussion of baby loss which some readers may find distressing.
The daughter of Snoop Dogg has opened up about her baby daughter in the aftermath of the infant’s death earlier this year.
On January 31, Cori Broadus, 26, shared on her Instagram Stories that her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, had passed away.
Cori expressed her grief with the words: “Monday; I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” accompanied by an angel wing emoji.
Her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, and Cori’s father also paid tribute to their daughter through a heartfelt post on social media.
In his message, he wrote, “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux,” alongside a photo of him holding his baby daughter.
He continued, “But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”
Codi was born three months early and had spent her life, lasting 10 months, in the neonatal intensive care unit.

A few days following the heartbreaking news, Cori returned to her Instagram Stories to acknowledge one week since losing her daughter.
She shared a touching photo of her daughter’s legs while holding her, with the caption: “Today makes one week without you, girl. I miss you bad.”
On February 5, Cori posted on her Stories, stating: “Btw, that baby looked just like me,” and added: “I’m doing everything for you Codi.”

Cori also highlighted a message from her daughter’s nurse, who shared her experience caring for Codi in her final days. The nurse expressed: “I been sad for 6 days straight.
“Being a nurse has its ups and downs and this is the biggest down I ever experienced.
“It was such a pleasure being mybabygirls nurse. I gave her one last bath told her I loved her and didn’t even know I was getting her ready for Heaven.”
Following Cori’s announcement, Snoop Dogg reacted to the devastating news in his own way.
Instead of making a formal statement, the rapper posted a family photo on Instagram, featuring Cori and her brothers Cordell and Corde, captioned with a sparkling red heart and prayer hands emojis.

Cordell also honored Cori with a message, writing on his Stories next to the photo: “Lil sis, we got you forever.”
