Jake Paul has paid tribute following the passing of Arturo Gatti’s son, who has died at the age of 17.
Arturo Gatti Junior was discovered deceased in Mexico on Tuesday, October 7, as confirmed by his coach Moe Latif and friend Chuck Zito.
According to the Canadian network TVA Nouvelles, Gatti Junior was in Mexico accompanied by his mother, Amanda Rodrigues.
The young Gatti was a talented amateur boxer with aspirations of pursuing a professional career like his father.
Arturo Gatti Senior’s life ended in Brazil 16 years ago. Although initially investigated as a possible homicide, his death was eventually classified as a suicide.
Expressing his condolences on X, previously known as Twitter, Paul stated: “RIP to Arturo Gatti Jr. Very sad to see a young man with so much potential lose his life and do so like his legendary father. May they conquer together up above.”
