Specialist details ‘pompoir’ intimate exercise that individuals believe boosts orgasmic experiences

There’s an ancient technique, believed to be around 3,000 years old, that is said to enhance orgasms significantly.

While orgasms are already enjoyable, many look for ways to make them even more intense. Enter ‘pompoir’—a method not to be confused with a new type of small dog.

Pompoir, also known as the ‘Singapore grip’ or ‘vaginal gymnastics’, is a time-honored technique where a woman engages her pelvic floor muscles during intercourse.

For those unfamiliar, the pelvic floor is a combination of muscles and ligaments stretched from the pubic bone to the tailbone. It’s the same group of muscles you might tighten when trying to hold in urine during those unexpectedly long wedding speeches.

To use your pelvic floor to enhance both your and your partner’s orgasmic experience, you should contract these muscles around the penis during ejaculation.

While it might seem like only men benefit from this ‘exercise’, sex educator Gigi Engle assures that it offers pleasurable sensations for women as well.

Describing pompoir, Engle told the Metro: “Pompoir is the sexual practice of training your kegel muscles to be so strong you can contract your muscles to such a degree that you’re able to pop things, like a ping pong ball, for example.”

She further explained how this ancient practice benefits both partners: “By having that strong of a pelvic floor, you can force them to c*m and essentially milk your partner, forcing them to submit to you.

“You take over their bodily faculties and erection because your vaginal muscles are so strong, and because you’re so hot, sexy, and dominant, they can’t help but succumb to you.”

If pompoir isn’t appealing, another popular technique is ‘edging’.

Edging involves delaying orgasm to extend pleasure. By repeatedly approaching climax without reaching it, the eventual orgasm is said to be more powerful.

This technique can be practiced alone and doesn’t necessarily require a partner.
