JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, have shared the joyful news that they are expecting a baby boy. However, the timing of their announcement has left social media buzzing.
On January 20, Usha Vance posted a statement from her husband, Vice President JD Vance, on Twitter. It read: “We’re very excited to share the news that Usha is pregnant with our fourth child, a boy. Usha and the baby are doing well, and we are all looking forward to welcoming him in late July.”
The statement continued: “During this exciting and hectic time, we are particularly grateful for the military doctors who take excellent care of our family and for the staff members who do so much to ensure that we can serve the country while enjoying a wonderful life with our children.”
The accompanying caption said: “We’re very happy to share some exciting news. Our family is growing.”

It didn’t take long for social media users to connect the announcement with JD Vance’s Halloween costume from 2025, leading to some humorous speculations.
But what connection could there be between a baby and a Halloween costume?
Last year, after becoming the subject of various memes, Vance decided to embrace the humor by basing his Halloween costume on one particular video.
The ‘You didn’t even say thank you’ meme of Vance arose following a meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in February. During the meeting, Vance questioned Zelenskyy, asking: “Have you said thank you once?”
Subsequently, social media was flooded with AI-generated memes featuring Vance with wild, curly hair. Playing on this meme, Vance decided to wear a curly-haired wig for Halloween, posting a video on TikTok of him wearing the wig and saying: “Happy Halloween, kids… Remember, say thank you!”
He then spun around with the Twilight Zone theme playing in the background.

Given the recent baby news, some online sleuths calculated that the baby might have been conceived around the end of October.
One user humorously speculated, “The child was conceived with the wig on.”
This led to a flurry of reactions on Twitter.
Another user noted, “Don’t come for me, but late July babies are often conceived on Halloween. And don’t forget, this was @VP@JDVance’s costume. Congratulations!”
A third user joked: “There is a nonzero chance that the inception of this pregnancy occurred while Vance was in his Halloween costume based on the dates provided.”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented, “I thought the same thing.”
And another simply concluded, “Incredible.”
Perhaps the Vances decided to add some excitement to their Halloween night and were inspired by their costume antics?
