Spouse of Worker Spotted with CEO on Coldplay Jumbotron Reveals Surprising Turn

Kristin Cabot’s husband has spoken out following her appearance on camera with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron.

In July, during a Coldplay concert in Boston, Byron and HR chief Cabot were seen in an embrace on the big screen. They quickly separated upon realizing they were being filmed.

Byron had his arms around Cabot, who serves as the Chief People Officer at Astronomer, and she was leaning into him, holding his hands.

Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin reacted to the surprising moment, saying: “Oh look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy.”

The peculiar interaction became a viral sensation on TikTok, amassing hundreds of millions of views.

After the incident, it came to light that Kristin Cabot filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, the previous month.

Reports indicate that the couple had been separated for weeks prior to the concert event.

A representative for Andrew told PEOPLE that he and Kristin ‘were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert’.

“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” the representative stated.

“Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.

“No further public comment will be made.”

In the wake of the viral incident, Byron stepped down from his position as CEO of Astronomer. The company released a statement emphasizing their commitment to maintaining certain values and standards, which had recently not been upheld.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO,” the statement continued.

Cabot also decided to resign from her position.

Pete DeJoy, serving as interim CEO, addressed the incident in an online statement.

“The events of the past few days have received a level of media attention that few companies—let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI world—ever encounter,” he expressed.

“The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name.”

Neither Cabot nor Byron have made public statements about the occurrence.
