Well, J.J. Abrams and Disney set up the 32-year-old with a private home screening of the massively anticipated “The Force Awakens,” months before it’s due to be released.
Fleetwood feared he would die before seeing Episode 7, The Force Awakens, and couldnt believe it when studio execs showed up at his Texas home to let him see an unedited version.
Daniel was diagnosed with inoperable spindle cell sarcoma in July, and doctors told him he won’t make it to Christmas, when the movie premieres.
And so, together with his wife, they started a social media campaign with the hashtag #ForceForDaniel. It got the attention of Star Wars actors as well as the director himself.
Apparently, Fleetwood loved the movie but can’t say anymore due to signing a pretty scary confidentiality agreement. Fleetwood and his wife watched the movie on their own TV, but it was played from Disney’s equipment — just in case.
