Stephen King Criticizes Trump’s Unpredictable Social Media Behavior

Stephen King didn’t mince words when expressing his opinions about the US president.

Anyone keeping up with Donald Trump and his statements will know that many are issued through Truth Social, often in a style unique to the president.

Trump certainly has a distinct flair when it comes to his social media posts.

Take, for instance, one of his recent posts regarding crime rates in Washington DC: “I’m going to make our Capital safer and more beautiful than it ever was before. The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital.

“The Criminals, you don’t have to move out. We’re going to put you in jail where you belong.”

The use of random capitalization is a notable feature in many of the president’s messages.

Highlighting this, renowned author Stephen King has questioned Trump’s literacy skills.

On August 17, the author of “It” posted on Twitter: “Can you possibly trust a President who can’t spell, has serious problems with grammar, and capitalizes at random? I think not. A President who can’t write can’t think. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

King’s remarks have sparked debate – a common occurrence. One person remarked: “You’re a writer. He’s a businessman, and leader. You ever looked at your doctor’s writing. Do you trust your doctor, given the fact that he can barely scribble?”

Another commented: “Just because you can write doesn’t say much for a person.”

A third person stated: “Grammar is not a measure of intelligence. Stay in your lane.”

Another individual noted: “With all due respect, Stephen, that feels a bit unfair. Plenty of people struggle with spelling or grammar who’d still do a far better job than Trump.

“The issue isn’t typos – it’s the incoherent, erratic way he communicates. That reflects thinking, not just writing.”

However, some agreed with King’s perspective.

“One of the best takes I’ve seen all day,” one person concurred, adding: “His lack of coherent writing ability signals so much more than people are recognizing.”

“A president who confuses Alaska with Russia should not be president,” another pointed out, referring to Trump mistakenly telling reporters that he was meeting Vladimir Putin in his home country.

“Stephen, you’re spot on,” another echoed. “A president who can’t spell, who butchers grammar, and sprays random capital letters is not a leader – he’s a global embarrassment.”
