Darrell Sheets’ son has spoken publicly following the Storage Wars star’s death.
The 67-year-old’s passing became public on Wednesday, April 22, after details in a police report described officers being sent to his home in Arizona’s Lake Havasu area when a body was found at the property.
When police arrived, Sheets was found with what the department said was a “self-inflicted gunshot wound to head.”
“On April 22, 2026, at approximately 2:00am, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual.”
Sheets is survived by his two children, Brandon and Tiffany Sheets.
In the wake of the news, Brandon shared a tribute in which he said he hopes to honor his father and keep his memory and legacy going.

“My heart is so broken. . . I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our Family. Let’s all continue to build those memories and keep the legacy that is Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets.
“I cant answer everyone’s questions or concerns right now, I think we all just need time to process and remember all the good that my Father was and will continue to be through my Son and I.
“The love we all have for this man and all his kindness is only a small portion of who he truly is,” Brandon wrote on Instagram.
Alongside the message, he posted multiple images of Sheets, including photos showing him spending time with his grandson.
Support poured in from viewers in the comments section.
“My most sincere condolences @brandosheets you and your Dad were our favourites on the show.”
“I’m deeply sorry. I can’t imagine what you and your entire family are going through,” another penned.
Brandon later shared another post — a slideshow featuring more photos of the TV personality — and added a short caption about how difficult the day had been.
“Missing you hard today Dad.”
Known to fans as “The Gambler,” Sheets became a standout figure on Storage Wars before stepping away during the show’s 15th season, which aired in 2023. One of his most famous moments came in 2012, when he risked $3,600 on a locker and ultimately landed what was described as the series’ biggest payout at the time: original artwork by Mexican painter Frank Gutierrez valued at $300,000.
After moving to Lake Havasu, Sheets opened an antiques and salvage shop called ‘Havasu Show Me Your Junk’.
Brandon also appeared on Storage Wars — where he was nicknamed “The Sidebet” — though he departed the series during season nine.
