‘Stranger Things’ Star Noah Schnapp Comes Out as Gay

Noah Schnapp, 18-year-old star of Netflix’s hit show “Stranger Things”, came out as gay on Thursday, announcing the news on TikTok.

In the video, Schnapp appears with text reading: “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'”

The caption of the video reads: “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought.” Schnapp plays Will Byers on the show, and fans have speculated it over the years that Will is gay, as his obvious attraction to Mike Wheeler is clear. With Schnapp’s announcement, it appears to confirm the fan theory.

Schnapp and his “Stranger Things” co-star Millie Bobby Brown are quite close; the two frequently hang out and have been on late-night talk programs together.

As previously reported, Schnapp recently began his freshman year at the University of Pennsylvania, where he’s already created quite a name for himself; we even obtained video of him diving into a pool at a party earlier this year.
