Study Reveals Number of Workplace Affairs in the Past Year

Curious about how long men generally prefer their intimate moments to last? We’ve got the details for you.

Contrary to the portrayal in the adult entertainment industry, one might assume that men desire extremely lengthy sessions, extending over an hour.

For many women, however, this is not the case.

GQ conducted research by surveying a ‘handful’ of women and non-binary individuals about their sexual practices. The findings revealed that the preferred duration for penetrative sex is five to 10 minutes, coupled with 10 to 15 minutes of foreplay.

While studies suggest men may have a higher sex drive than women, this doesn’t necessarily translate into wanting lengthy sexual encounters.

Despite differences in sex drives, both genders appear to agree on the preferred duration for intimate activities.

According to a 2004 study, men generally prefer to spend around 18 minutes on both intercourse and foreplay, as reported by Sex and Psychology.

The same Canadian study, which involved 152 heterosexual couples, indicated that women favor 14 minutes of intercourse and 19 minutes of foreplay, showing only a minor difference in preferences.

However, these preferences did not align with the actual time couples reported spending on intercourse and foreplay, which was typically around 18 to 21 minutes.

Consider this information, everyone.

Additionally, an expert has offered their opinion on the optimal duration for foreplay.

In an interview with Metro, certified sex and relationship coach Gemma Nice stated: “Men can usually climax in around 5-7 minutes, whereas it typically takes a female anywhere between 20-30 minutes.”

Taking this into account, Nice recommends that couples aim for around 15 to 20 minutes of foreplay. However, extending this time can have additional benefits…

“The longer you’re engaged in foreplay, the more aroused and relaxed the body will be,” Nice elaborated.

“When your body is in a state of calm, the blood can then flow from the heart, lungs, and brain to the genitals, activating the 10,000+ nerve endings there. This can result in better overall sexual satisfaction for both partners.”

Remember these tips, everyone.
