Jennifer Lawrence’s fans have come to her defense over her wardrobe choice at the 2026 Golden Globes.
The Golden Globes is renowned for celebrating accomplishments in film and television, but the red carpet preceding the event often captures significant public interest.
Viewers eagerly tune in to see the extravagant outfits worn by some of the most famous personalities in the entertainment industry as they make their entrance.
This year, Lawrence became a focal point by wearing a striking ‘naked dress,’ reminiscent of the one Beyoncé wore at the 2015 Oscars.
The Hunger Games actress stunned in a see-through gown crafted by Givenchy’s Sarah Burton, which was uniquely styled with pink, ivory, and green floral embroidery.
The bold fashion choice drew quite a bit of attention, prompting many of her admirers to take to social media in her defense amidst the Hollywood buzz.

One supporter on X wrote: “Te only acceptable return of the naked dress. Classy and elegant,” while another said: “True. I actually like it.”
Another fan commented: “It is a naked dress, but it’s the most beautiful naked dress I’ve ever seen! And she has the body to wear it. So stunning!”
Yet another admirer summed it up: “This is the type of a naked dress that’s socially acceptable, aesthetically appealing, and imagination igniting just as intended.
“Jennifer Lawrence looks tastefully sexy yet romantic at the same time in this sheer Givenchy dress that reminds me of Halle Berry’s Ellie Saab dress for Oscars in 2002. Excellent color palette for Jennifer. My favorite look so far.”
Prior to the Golden Globes, Lawrence discussed her preference for filming intimate scenes with strangers in her projects.

In a conversation with PEOPLE regarding her work with Robert Pattinson, she explained: “It was actually easier that way, because Rob and I did not know each other. Which is kind of better, you know?
“Imagine it! So yeah, doing it with a stranger is preferable.”
The 35-year-old actress recalled a particularly unusual scene in her latest project with Pattinson, Die My Love.
“It was these actors, and they’re attacking each other like tigers,” she recounted, “and we were like, ‘OK, yeah,’ and she was like, ‘Can you do it naked, yeah?’ [imitating Ramsay’s Scottish accent]. We were like, ‘Oh, OK,’ and that was the first day on set.”
