Tate McRae turned heads on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026 red carpet Sunday night with a revealing butterfly-themed ensemble that put her toned midriff on full display.
The 23-year-old pop star arrived in a matching black set featuring strategically-placed butterfly wing cut-outs, sheer paneling throughout, and a skirt with a wing-shaped waistline and hip-high slit. The look nodded to the Y2K era’s famous butterfly tank tops, though with a noticeably more provocative execution.
Her blond hair fell in waves, and she finished the beauty look with dramatic winged eyeliner fit for the runway. McRae is serving as one of the musical guests at this year’s show, and she is set to deliver the global premiere performance of her new single, “Housewife.”
The all-women musical lineup also includes Megan Thee Stallion, Megan Moroney, and Katseye. On the modeling side, Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Barbara Palvin are among the A-list names expected to walk. For the first time, the runway will stream live from Los Angeles on YouTube.
McRae was announced as part of the musical lineup last month. The appearance marks one of her first major performances since headlining and closing Lollapalooza 2026 in August. That closing set featured a now-viral moment during her hit “Sports Car,” when she climbed into a concrete bathtub and drenched herself in 660 gallons of shimmering liquid gold paint. The performance included choreography by Sergio Reis and fashion direction by designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin.
“Me and my creative director, Ludo, had been dreaming of it for so many months,” the singer shared of the Lollapalooza spectacle on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” earlier this month.
Legendary performers have historically lit up the Victoria’s Secret stage while models strutted, including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Lady Gaga in previous years. McRae’s slot in that tradition comes as her star continues to rise following the success of singles like “Greedy.”
Whether her Victoria’s Secret set will rival the theatricality of her Lollapalooza bathtub moment remains to be seen, though her red carpet arrival suggested she is not shying away from bold fashion choices for the occasion.
