Taylor Swift Reacts Hilariously to Katy Perry Kissing Female Performer at VMAs

Taylor Swift had a comical reaction during a particular moment of Katy Perry’s VMA Video Vanguard performance.

The ‘Teenage Dream’ artist received a lifetime achievement award at the MTV Video Music Awards and delivered a medley of her most notable hits from her career.

During her performance, Perry sang one of her latest tracks, ‘I’m His, He’s Mine,’ featuring rapper Doechii.

The pair got very close during the song’s choreography, culminating in a kiss on stage.

The audience went wild, and it appeared that Swift joined in on the excitement.

Footage captured from an audience POV camera focused on Swift showed the singer dancing before stopping abruptly to watch Perry and Doechii’s kiss in amazement.

Swift then turned around, burst into laughter, and joined the crowd in cheering and applauding the performers.

Fans were not only thrilled by Perry’s performance but also by Swift’s reaction. One Twitter user commented, “Even she was GAGGED.”

Another added, “She had our reaction.”

“She’s so real for this,” a third user noted.

Katy Perry accepted her Vanguard award and delivered an emotional speech reflecting on her career and the lessons she has learned.

“Thank you so much to MTV for believing in my weirdness from day one, and for helping artists extend their worlds beyond a song. There are so many things that have to align to have a long and successful career as an artist. There are no decade-long accidents,” Perry began.

“I’m excited when I look around music today and I see all the amazing young artists who are operating with confidence, agency, vulnerability and authenticity,” she continued.

Perry spoke on the challenges she has faced, stating, “I’ve heard a lot of do this, don’t do that, wear less, wear more now, don’t cut your hair… one of the biggest reasons I’m standing here right now is I learned how to block out all the noise that every single artist in this industry has to constantly fight against, especially women.”

“I just want to say with my whole heart, do whatever it takes to stay true to yourself and true to your art, turn off social media, safeguard your mental health, pause, touch grass, and do what you were born to do, just like I was born to do this,” Perry concluded.
