A dramatic occurrence unfolded when a UPS cargo plane crashed at a Kentucky airport, resulting in a large fireball.
Businesses located near Louisville International Airport in Kentucky were consumed by flames following the crash of UPS Flight 2976 during takeoff at around 5:15 PM local time on Tuesday, November 4.
The plane was en route to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, when it crash-landed approximately three miles south of the airfield.
Authorities have confirmed that at least seven people have died in the incident, with expectations that the death toll may increase as more information becomes available.
In addition to the fatalities, several individuals have sustained injuries, and some remain missing.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear provided an update via X, the platform previously known as Twitter.
He stated: “The news out of Louisville is tough tonight as the death toll has now reached at least 7, with that number expected to rise. First responders are onsite and working hard to extinguish the fire and continue the investigation.
“Air monitoring assets have been deployed, and we are working to keep the public informed and keep folks in the area safe. We will share more information as it’s available.
“Please, pray for the families affected, Louisville and all of Kentucky. We are hurting right now after a heartbreaking day.”
Dashcam video footage has captured the moment the plane burst into flames upon crash landing.
Some of the footage, which has started circulating on social media, depicts the plane damaging buildings in the vicinity before its descent.
Additional footage illustrates emergency services arriving at the scene and working to extinguish the fire that followed the crash.
A report from BBC indicated that the aircraft was loaded with approximately 38,000 gallons of fuel at the time of the crash, and the three crew members on board are still reported as missing.
The blaze is largely contained now, and an investigation team is expected to arrive in the morning to gather more details about the crash.
