An Airbnb host was left stunned after learning that a mansion reserved for a small group supposedly numbering seven was instead used for a massive party attended by hundreds of teenagers and young adults.
On Saturday (March 21), the Celina Police Department responded to a Texas mansion after receiving reports of a “large gathering” at the home.
When officers arrived, they found a party already in full swing, with an estimated crowd of 500 to 800 teens and young adults. Police later determined the property had been booked through Airbnb.
Law enforcement said the event spread via social media, and that attendees appeared to range in age from 15 to 25.
The situation escalated when gunfire was reported inside the mansion.
Addressing the incident, Celina Police Chief John Cullison told Fox 4: “We started getting the 911 calls with the shots fired. We also got a call that there was 10 men at the front gate, and they had guns, and they were threatening to kill someone.
“So, this of course amped our officers up just a bit to make sure we go inside and keep everybody safe. But it wasn’t until they went inside and they actually realized how vast this party was.”
Cullison also said officers found blood-stained sheets and towels once they entered the house.
He added that the crowd likely wasn’t limited to local teens, suggesting attendees came from “Dallas and other communities around here.”
“This wasn’t just a Celina concern. This is a metropolitan concern,” the police chief stated.
Fox 4 also reported that, in addition to the shots fired at the mansion, two more were fired at nearby Collin College.
Authorities said no one was hurt, but the home was heavily damaged, according to property owner Kishore Karlapudi.

Describing the destruction, Karlapudi said: “We were totally shocked, and they damaged the property, you know.
“They took all the furniture out from the living space, and they put it in the garage. They took all the wall fixtures, everything out.
“They broke the wall fixture. They broke, the island was broken. The granite countertop was broken because it looks like kids danced on those.”
He also claimed the booking was made under false pretenses, saying the renter misrepresented the purpose of the stay.
“Somebody booked it, saying they needed the property for a party of seven people,” Karlapudi said.
